We Owe Generation Z an Apology Today | Nathaniel Turner | TEDxHobartHighSchool
Generation Z has been unfairly burdened with solving substantial societal issues: global warming, wealth inequality, homelessness, and the like. Moreover, the magnitude of those issues is more significant than any previous generation has faced. Collectively, all generations – especially those of us who are most responsible for the problems – must take steps immediately to help Generation Z change the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
Wake up and dream - Nathaniel Turner - Sparks January 2017
I’m going to get you to check your pulse to find out both literally and figuratively whether you are alive or dead. What will your obituary say about you? How will your life be described in your eulogy? What will we learn about you from your tomb/cemetery marker? Are you awake and dreaming or are you just like so many others who are already dead – zombies sleepwalking through this your only life?

Diversity & Inclusion: The Inner Child Perspective
When it comes to the issues of diversity and inclusion, many Americans give the impression that we are both be sick and tired of the discussion and lost and confused about what to do next. The combination of being sick and tired and lost and confused has resulted in the entire nation playing the “American Blame Game” – the game where everyone else is to blame for the state of the Union. Like every good American, with the assistance of Charlie Brown & the Peanuts Gang and Mr. Peabody and Sherman, I’m going to join in and play the game too. Together we will discover what the cartoon characters have known for a long time. Those to blame for the incivility of our society are the same people who are responsible for helping us be our best.

The Sky Is For Everyone
Have you ever wondered why some people are like elegantly soaring eagles while others are akin to pigeons loitering contently on the ground? Isn’t it strange that despite the sky being accessible to everyone, only the uncommon person spreads their wings to reach their maximum altitude and embrace the full vision of their best life? Participants will explore the detailed process for living your dreams – for flying higher than you could ever imagine. Come ready to ask and answer, “why coast with pigeons when you can soar with eagles?”
